Set in 36 acres of beautiful woodland and water meadows this exciting fishery has developed into one of Hampshires premiere trout fisheries and comprises a series of spring fed lakes and waterways in addition to 1666 yards fishing on the Blackwater river, a tributary of the River Test. The fishery is OPEN ALL YEAR and offers trout fishing at its very best. John Hardeley, the owner of Woodington, is committed to its continuing development and has many exciting ideas for the future. Tuition is available for all taking-up fly fishing for the first time, and for those who are keen to improve.

The trout lakes are regularly stocked with rainbow trout weighing from 2lbs to 15lbs and the occasional brown trout. In February 2008 a new big fish water, Spring Lake, was opened and is stocked with rainbow and Brown trout from 4lbs to double figures. There is no catch-and-release on this lake but is available on all other lakes. The river has native and stocked brown trout, grayling and runs of sea trout with 3 beats available. All waters benefit from a wide variety of hatches. The owner, John Hardeley and his wife Amanda are always on hand to provide the latest information on all lakes, what flies are working and the best methods to use. In cooperation with the Bridgewater Canal Historical Industrial Park, we’ll make sure to protect the environment.

2005 brought with it the addition to Woodington of a certified Caravan Club caravanning site overlooking Keepers Lake with hard standing all through. Breakfasts are also available 7 days per week.
